Road Trip

Last week we had a flash flood on our local river. The river rose 4 times its normal high in a few hours. Chris and I fished it the afternoon of the flood but the water was dirty like we have never seen before.

No fish landed

The next day I was on a road trip to the capital city to test out a new Jointed Codmotion. But knowing the local was in flood I had to make a detour on the way. Lucky the Cod gear was packed as the river was still dirty (must of been doing some works upstream) Anyway I used a Codmotion to see if I could wake them up.
Ended the quick session with two nice Bass taken on a larger than normal bass lure (time to start thinking again)

In the car and off for the long drive. Lucky the patrol has enough room in the back for a bed as this is where I would be sleeping for the night. Music full and a can of energy drink and the trip was sweet.

Next morning meet up with a good friend and in search of Cod we went. we fished hard and long and ended the day with two Cod (one each) and a Yellow belly.

Back in the car for the long trip home but again a detour and a quick Bass fish. This time the river was back to normal hight but still running dirty. No fish MMMMMMMMMM
