One Year Down

WOW its been a year since we started making lures again. After about a 10yr break the itch needed to be scratched. Things have come along way in the last year. The raw prototypes moved and got tweaked as the year progressed

Wake Bait- Prototype, Full flocked than Full gloss paint as the year went on

The Walkers got tweaked, tweaked and tweaked some more. Starting with poly bibs than moved to ally, Fully flocked to full gloss paint jobs. Lets not forget the final tweak which will become its own branch in the year to come, the tweaked Walker to run a assist hook

The Stickbaits changed over the year with some ups and downs with them. The amount of work, time and research that goes into them is insane. To start with the 220mm Stick was introduced than latter in the year the 160mm Stick and just last month the Sinking 160mm Stick.

Mid year the Marble finish was released and was taken on by many of our customers. Bass Baits and Stickbaits got marbled.

Along the way the old grey matter was running overtime with many sleepless nights. Some ideas were good and some not so good. Lots of prototype were made and tested with some outstanding results. Some were put into the production line while others were left to be tweaked in the future. The Fizzer, Pop/slider and Native Diver were released

So with all these lures there were some fish to go with them. Heres some pics of fish caught over the year

For a good friend that has had to put up with the crap ideas and theories I come up with. These lures were made from a log that I found at our Bass fishing spot. So what better Birthday gift than a set of lures made from a log at your Bass hole.

One year down and Nutterjuck Lures would like to thank you all for your support in the first year. Keep your eyes open as you many find a Nutterjuck lure somewhere you least expect it. I know that I have lost a few over the last year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New year

Happy Birthday Chris

For a good Mate and long time friend. These two lures are made from a log at our Bass hole. I even think we both have tripped over this log.

Marbled Squids

After fishing the rocks last week, its was clear that I need to add a sinking Stickbait. So after many hrs in the cave I tweaked the 80g floating stickbait and came up with a 160mm 100g sinking stickbait. And no I didn't just add weight. New timber was used which is painful as its so hard to cut and shape

Field testing

Well someone has to do it so it might as well be me.

Testing the Marbled Mackerel (see below for info)
Switched back to 3/0 Owners as I found the stick swam better rigged with them. In doing so I pulled the hooks on 4 fish before this one was landed.

This is only a Rat but its the intended species. It can be only up hill from here.

Something to keep your eye on

Heres a sneak peak at some new workings. As was seen in the RAW at its best post, the tweaked walker is ready.

Plus last season there was a sneak peak at the Nipple, well the Nipple has also had some tweaking and some testing will soon be done,

Keeps your eyes on here or Facebook to kept up to date.

Special Order

Well for me anyway,

The Guys at Shimano Australia have asked for some Bass Baits. Hope they enjoy them and fish them.

RAW at its best

Had a call from good mate Chris to see if I was in for a Bass fish. "yep, but ill have to be late. Ill put the kids to bed, give the wife a good bye kiss and ill meet you there"
A quick re rig only to find out that Ive got no lures ready. A few night before I lost 7 lures to the tree gods who now have a Christmas tree with Nutterjuck lures hanging from it.

So RAW it is. Cut, and screw, thats all I had time for. No paint and no glue, just RAW

This was a good chance to also test a new idea out. Assist hook (the one used for jigging) rigged surface walker. Well to cut a long story and theory short lets just say ITS A WINNER. Just need to tweak the lure as its funny how much the action changes without hooks and rings. Assist hooks have no weight in them.  Anyway watch this spot or our Facebook page to see how things progress.

The cave has been rumbling

Can only mean one thing. Yep more lures soon to be released

FAT PIG

Last night was the night of the Fat Pig. Good Mate Chris got detonated by a beast. This is the second time he has tied on a NJ Walker. This may shock some as we fish heaps together but we alway try and have a 'LURE OFF' thingy. Plus its good to see if the NJ's hold there only against some well know Baits. The first time Chris used a Walker ended in tears, for him anyway. He got dusted in a big way by a Bass that showed no love for him or his tackle.

Last night it took two cranks of the handle on his first cast to pull this FAT PIG

I was lucky to hold my own latter in the night but nothing compared to Chris's fish. These two also like the Walker.
