HP = Hand Painted

I’m excited to introduce the new HP Series, a range of lures that takes craftsmanship and attention to detail to the next level. HP stands for Hand Painted, and for this series, I brought out the old-school brush to add carefully considered strokes to each lure. There’s something incredibly satisfying about breaking the painting process down into simple, deliberate steps, ensuring that every detail contributes to the overall performance and aesthetic of the lure.

Even the eyes are a highlight of this series. Each lure features fully hand-painted 3D eyes, with the white highlights enhanced using a touch of UV paint to give that extra realism and sparkle on the water. These subtle details are part of what makes the HP Series stand out as premium handmade fishing lures and a true reflection of quality custom lure craftsmanship.

From the intricate painting to the fine-tuned lure design, every piece in the HP Series embodies the principles of timber lure making and handcrafted fishing gear. These lures are designed not just to catch the eye, but to perform effectively on the water, attracting Bass, Yellow Belly, and other freshwater species with both action and realism.

I’ll let the photos tell the rest of the story, showcasing the care, skill, and attention to detail that goes into each hand-painted fishing lure. Stay tuned to this blog for more updates on the HP Series, testing results, and behind-the-scenes insights into the evolution of my fishing lures Australia anglers can trust.

Game On

The 2013–14 Bass season is officially underway, and this year it’s all about chasing Australian Bass once again. Like the past few seasons, there’s nothing quite like the thrill of hitting the water in the first hours of the open season, feeling that anticipation and excitement as the freshwater rivers and impoundments come alive.

The opening morning delivered some fantastic action, with handmade fishing lures and custom lures doing their job beautifully. The early bites set the tone, and as the session continued, the Bass responded to carefully crafted timber lures that balance realistic action with enticing presentation.

To finish off the session, we added a touch of “morning glory,” capturing the peaceful, rewarding moments that make Bass fishing so special. This combination of lure design, patience, and timing demonstrates why quality fishing lures Australia anglers rely on can turn a great morning into a memorable one.

I’ll continue using this blog as a platform to share season highlights, testing updates, and insights into the evolution of my handcrafted fishing gear, ensuring fellow anglers can stay informed on the best techniques and lures for trophy Australian Bass.
