May has really turned up the heat for topwater Cod
fishing, with some incredible results coming from anglers braving the
cooler conditions. It’s that time of year when persistence, the right handmade
fishing lures, and a bit of luck combine to deliver unforgettable Murray
Cod action.
Here’s a selection of photos from customers who ventured out
and were rewarded for their efforts. Mick, for example, landed an impressive 105cm
Cod just a week after catching a 102cm Cod, both using the White
Ghost Codmotion. The consistency and performance of this custom lure
show why quality fishing lures Australia anglers can rely on make such a
difference when targeting trophy Cod.
Jonathan has also been getting in on the action, catching
several Cod before stepping things up and smashing his personal best with a
beautiful sweetwater Cod, also landed on the White Ghost Codmotion.
It’s a testament to the effectiveness of handcrafted fishing gear and
how precision lure design can transform a good session into a
record-breaking one.
These catches highlight not only the quality of the Codmotion
lures but also the rewards of persistence, knowledge of the waterways, and
using carefully crafted timber lures designed for serious freshwater
fishing. As the season continues, I’ll be sharing more stories, photos, and
updates from anglers putting these lures to the test across Australia’s top Cod
fisheries.
